Uses & Applications
Fucoidan is a complex sulfated polysaccharide consisting of various monosaccharides, uronic acids, and natural sulfate from brown seaweed. Brown seaweed is a major component of diets of the Japanese, who are long known for having the highest life expectancy rates.
Fucoidan has a strong effect on supporting immune enhancement and is a potent antioxidant. It also stimulates osteoblast production and supports healthy connective tissue. Fucoidan has been shown to stimulate the production of immune cells and strengthens them to prevent disease.
See our Research and Development section for additional health benefits.
About Sulfate Content
Fucoidan activity is related to sulfate content and position, molecular weight, and monosaccharides composition. The higher content of sulfate groups often presents a higher biological activity in native fucoidans. Our proprietary manufacturing technologies allow us to maximize the sulfate content, at over 25% with maximum bioactivity, to optimize therapeutic properties. This process is prepared using a 100% water extraction process with NO hexane, ethanol, or other solvents.
